ACTIVITIES SINCE 2005

Make an Impact

Our practical hands on programmes by rural, regional, national, freelance reporters and editors across the nation, helps to produce reliable, high quality coverage that enriches the reportage in diverse areas of development. We help grassroots journalists to build professionalism and lay the foundation for independent media, encourage positive systematic change that resonates long after the training has ended. We translate complex science for the journalists and provide them access to resources and resource persons that enable them to reach, analyze and report consistently on issues. Through this we hope that readers and audiences will be better informed about local and national challenges.

Leaders In Digital Training

IMCFJ works across the media spectrum - print, radio, television, incorporating online digital news and every possible programme. We are providing online educational tools, including the blogger’s guide. Another new initiative at IMCFJ is to build capacity in community radio stations through trainings and supporting content development.
IMCFJ also provides content in the form of features and information on diverse subjects to local vernacular press. It is currently building a software for content development solutions for three important Hindi newspapers on MDGs, gender and water related issues.
